Like the winding Kickapoo River near my home, I look at art as a flow of ideas. From the initial stimulus or inspiration within myself, I systematically transform those ideas into a visual image. As an architect designs a building, I construct a visual image to evoke an exchange with the viewer. My tools are light, shadow, color and form. I am successful if the viewer is moved, no matter how slight the emotional response. The final visual representation is more than accurately representing the physical plane. It is to create a feeling.
